Residency
Invited by the Government of France as Artist in Residence in 2003. Meeta was based in Paris for aperiod of 3 months where she collaborated with Jazz artist Allie Delfau. She has toured India with the Indo-French Project.
Distinctions
1. Meeta has had the priviledge to be a subject of film made by Prasar Bharti in collaboration of Public Service Broadcasting Trust (PSBT) titled “Meeta - Linking a Tradition with Today". The film directed by Shukla Das is of 29 minutes.
2. Sent by the Government of India as the Cultural Ambassador of India to Pakistan during SAARC 2004, Islamabad.
3. Meeta is an 'A' Grade professional classical singer of All India Radio - an official recognition by the government that selects artists to perform on Radio and Television.
4. Empanelled in the ICCR's Reference Panel of Artists. (Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Ministry of External Affairs.)
5. Scholarship from Ministry of Human Resources Development, Department of Culture, Government of India - 1996
6. 'Doctor of Music' - Doctoral Thesis on "Contribution of the Pandit family of Gwalior Gharana to Hindustani Music", 2001
